Cyber-attack is an offensive maneuver employed by individuals or even entire organizations that target computer information systems, infrastructures and computer networks by hacking into their systems. Government officials and information technology security specialists have documented a significant increase in Internet hacking and server scams. While putting cyber security measures in place to reduce risks may help, many organizations are realizing that there is a need to develop an internal intelligence and counterintelligence department to analyze cyber attacks in order to stay ahead of ongoing threats.

This workshop covers the process that is required to develop an intelligence department that can effectively provide vulnerability assessment, threat assessment and countermeasure options. In addition to modern intelligence science, the workshop also models various ancient intelligence methodologies including the Shinobi (Ninja) doctrines of feudal Japan - doctrines that offer surprisingly effective strategies to combat today’s threats.
